PRESS RELEASE AMBITION SYNDICATE RIDER PROFILE

Shares and Syndicates
What is syndication? Horse ownership syndication is when
a group of people come together (or an individual joins an existing syndicate) to purchase shares in a promising horse for a professional event rider. These shares not only cover the actual cost to buy the horse, but the annual costs needed to maintain the horse. For example, if you are joining a horse ownership syndication which offers 4 shares, then you and 3 other people will own that event horse and help maintain the costs of your event horse on an annual basis. The good news is that all of these costs are predetermined, and syndications come in many affordable price ranges.

Rare chance to jointly own a YOUNG ADVANCED / 4* HORSE in 11YO ALINERO VAN HET SCHARENBERG.
Benefits of shared ownership:
- Ability to visit your horse on a regular basis at Tim’s yard.
- Ability to watch any Dressage/Show Jump/XC Training your horse is receiving between events.
- Share of prize money directly proportioned to your share of the horse.
- Proceeds from the sale of the horse are paid according to your percentage.
- Highly thrilling experience.
- Opportunity to attend high profile events throughout the country such as Blenheim and Bramham.
- The fun of going to the events and socialising with other people in the Eventing industry.
- Shared responsibilities.
- Less-expensive way to enjoy being an owner.
- Up front-fee. Set Monthly cost. No further charges.
- Talented, quality horses.
- Being part of a small, professional and dedicated team.
- Great communication and regular updates on your horses’ progress.
How the syndicate works:
One initial up-front fee followed by a set monthly cost. There will be no further charges whatever situation occurs.
Tim Cheffings is the agreed rider of the horse.
Selling policy - if we do have a good horse we would like to keep him. Serious offers will be considered and syndicate members would be involved in these considerations. Any over-riding decisions in the event of a dispute would be made by Tim Cheffings Eventing.
Tim Cheffings Eventing syndicates are non-profit focused syndicates concentrating on producing the horse to the highest level.
The syndicate will include a ‘drop-out clause’ which will allow individuals to walk away with no financial liabilities. Any sale of a newly available share would be dealt with via Tim Cheffings Eventing but would not be liable to purchase the share personally, unless otherwise agreed.
In the case of retirement due to injury it is the responsibility of Tim Cheffings Eventing to find a good home.
Although by using careful selection procedures, a good rider and professional management we try to mitigate risk as much as possible, a decision to enter into a syndicate should be made for enjoyment and participation reasons rather than any expectation of financial gain as event horse ownership isn't without risk.
What Does Syndication Cost?
As you share costs with your fellow syndicate horse owners, you don't have to be rich to be a syndicate horse owner! The shared costs for owning and maintaining an event horse can vary greatly. In my case currently, I am opting to sell a portion of my talented young horses in exchange for a one off initial price and affordable monthly maintenance support, enabling me to continue with training and competing. The horses I have with part shares available are ones that I believe have the potential to be top class event horses. My ultimate aim for them is to progress through the levels right up to 4* and team selections. Shares of DONATEUR and ALINERO VAN HET SCHARENBERG are currently available, please click on their names (shown in blue) for more infomation. There is also opportunity for a syndicate to be formed with the view of purchasing a new horse, so the whole syndicate can be involved with the choosing of the right horse for themselves and Tim Cheffings Eventing right from the start.
An example syndicate cost (for a young horse starting at BE90/BE100 level):
£1000 - £2000 initial and 'one off' fee
£125 per month (this will be slightly increased once the horse is competing at Novice level and above)
No hidden charges, you just pay the agreed monthly figure
If you would like to discuss these, full ownership or any other options please call Tim for an informal chat on 07850644261.
