NEW ARENA!
The new 60 x 60 outdoor arena contains a full set of custom made show jumps and will ultimately also house an all-weather Cross Country Course which will adjoin our indoor arena by a track. Along with a new solarium for ours and clients horses, this new addition to the facility will mean that we can provide a fully equipped training facility all year round come rain or shine!
We are delighted that we are able to expand in this way with the help of a local action group LEADER grant and are really excited about our future as one of the top end equestrian training facilities in the South-West

Downe Farm Event Centre has a full range of facilities to train horses and riders in each of the eventing disciplines, all of which are also available for hire.

* 8 acre Cross Country schooling field with a wide variety of jumps from logs on the ground to 1.10m, positioned to make use of the natural landscape and offering excellent spectator viewing.
* Indoor 60x23m Arena with full set of showjumps, lights & arena mirrors.
* Indoor & Outdoor Arena Cross Country - Available on set dates only.
Lessons are available with Tim BHSAI and British Eventing Accredited Coach for Dressage, Showjumping & Indoor / Outdoor Cross Country. As well as pre-competition training & planning advice. Please note that during the season, sessions with Tim are very limited. Lessons with Vanessa Cheffings BHSII, are also available.

The new 8 acre Cross Country schooling field offers a range of permanent and portable top quality flagged jumps to suit all abilities of horse and rider. The schooling area is set up specifically for training, with the majority of the course able to be viewed from one position, ideal for instruction.
One area of the venue contains a large selection of smaller starter fences, perfect for young or green horses and ponies, as well as riders looking to gain confidence. These fences start with logs on the ground upwards.
The rest of the field includes everything you would encounter on a true Cross Country Course! Inviting fences in every style up to 1.10m surround the large water jump which also offers multiple entry and exit options to suit all levels.
There are steps, ditches, a coffin complex in a range of heights, a quarry with various options, as well as plenty of individual fences and more complex lines suitable for training horses right up to the top levels.
